Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer
Giridhar is a seasoned investment banker, investor, board advisor and management professional with nearly 30 years of work across emerging and developed economies. He is also a non-executive director on the boards of both Indian and UK companies. He was invited by the government of India to join the Expert Finance Committee of the Namami Gange Project. He is also the chairman of a charitable trust in the UK, working on projects in education, poverty alleviation and healthcare.
Before this, he built and headed a US-headquartered investment bank as their Managing Director & CEO for India and South Asia, and a member of their global executive committee. He was also the global head of investment banking for Axis Bank and has held senior roles within the ICICI Bank group. During his career, he has advised and worked with companies in India, the UK, Europe, the USA, and Japan; and has been an investor in companies in various formats: as a public markets investor with Foreign & Colonial in India, as a private equity investor with CEA International and more recently as a Venture capital investor with a UK based VC firm, investing in over 65 companies.
During his career, he has led and managed transactions of over $17 billion. Notably, he was instrumental in raising one of the first ever green energy funds in the UK back in 2006. He has worked extensively with companies in both developed economies such as the UK, USA and Japan, and emerging markets such as India and Brazil.
